Francisco Laranjo is an independent graphic designer based in London, UK.
He runs his own studio since completing an MA in Communication Art & Design at the Royal College of Art, London.
Before that, after finishing a BA in Communication Design at ESAD, Francisco worked in Portugal as a freelancer for a wide range of cultural clients and in New York (USA) at Sagmeister Inc..
His work focuses on printed matter as well as writing and design criticism. His writings have been published on ARC magazine, Bypass and on the books Design - Critical Readings (Labcom) and A Nervous Nap – On expanding the field of design (Fundacja Bec Zmiana).
Francisco teaches Communication Design at Richmond University (London) and is currently a PhD student at the London College of Communication, undertaking a practice based research exploring the role of design criticism as a fundamental tool on the graphic design practice.
